I've read Ator's guide to home wiring, and it seems easy enough to follow. But my situation involves a 2 story house (with full basement). The computer room is on the 2nd story, along with the other bedrooms. I'd like to get some cables down to the 1st story and even the basement if possible. Obviously the easiest solution is wireless, and I might go that route if I have to. I wanted to avoid wireless though for cost and performance reasons.
One solution I've heard is to run the cables out the window or wall outside and run them back in. I suppose that could work, but that's something I'm not comfortable with. I could also try running the cables along floorboards and corners of the wall, but that's not as clean as I'd like.
What I'm wondering is if anyone has ever gotten cables from one floor to another by going the clean route - through the walls and out of sight. Can it be done?
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
